Join me on an adventure to the Colombian cities of Medellín and Cartagena.

Medellín, Colombia's second largest city, blends mountain views, vibrant culture, and nonstop energy into one unforgettable experience. Cartagena, a city by the Caribbean sea, features cobblestone streets, colourful buildings, vibrant culture and historic charm.

Whether you're bringing some friends or doing it solo... Get ready for your Colombian adventure with Deidre!

Please note: This trip departs from Montego Bay. To ensure the best experience for the group, final itinerary and accommodation details will be confirmed and shared 14 days before departure.

Packing Essentials: What to Bring

• Walking shoes

• Refillable water bottle

• Hats, sunglasses and sunscreen

• Umbrella or Raincoat

• Swimwear (Both hotels have pools. Also for activities with water.)

• Warm Layers - Jackets/sweaters should the weather get chilly

• All prescription medication and personal essentials

• Portable charger/ power bank

Visa & Vaccination Requirements

• Visa-Free Travel – No visa is required for most nationalities to enter Colombia.

• Passport Validity Rule – Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your departure from Colombia, with at least two(2) blank pages.
  

Important Note: Travelers who do not meet the passport validity requirement may be denied entry at immigration. Please check your passport’s expiration date before booking.

Booking & Payment Structure

• Each trip price consists of two parts:
  ✔️ A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $300 (required at booking).
  ✔️ The remaining balance (due per the outlined payment schedule). Full balance must

  be paid before departure.

• ⚠️ Deposits are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of circumstances, promotions, or special offers.

• Your booking is confirmed once the $300 deposit is received, officially entering you into a contract with Graceful Routes (Deidre).

• Late payments will incur additional fees.

• Prices are subject to change until group reservations are finalized.

• Clients will be notified in writing of any price changes. If the price increase exceeds 30%, the client has the right to cancel without penalty.

• Graceful Routes (Deidre) is a proud Independent Travel Advisor with HappiStart Travel. For security and processing purposes, all payment systems and official documentation will reflect HappiStart Travel, so there’s no need for concern when you see the name.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Outside of 45 days before departure:

• Travelers will receive a full refund minus the $300 deposit, subject to any fees already incurred for trip planning (e.g., airline tickets, accommodations, administrative costs).

45 - 30 days before departure:

• 75% of the total trip cost is non-refundable.

30 - 0 days before departure:

• 100% of the total trip cost is non-refundable.

Exceptions – No Cancellation Fees Apply If:

• The contract price increases by more than 30%.

• The traveler has a severe illness (doctor’s documentation required) or experiences the death of an immediate family member.

• Cancellation is due to a force majeure event (natural disasters, war, government travel bans, etc.).

Please note that hotel, airline, and tour operator refund policies apply to all cancellations. Refunds are subject to these third-party policies.

We will explore Downtown Medellín, visiting famous spots and visiting Comuna 13, an area that has undergone major transformation from one of the world's most dangerous to a vibrant neighbourhood featuring street art and music.

We will take a trip to the town of Guatape where will visit the town, climb the El Penol Rock, sail on the lake and visit the llamas at the farm. There is also the option to do a helicopter ride or jet ski on the lake.

You can take the day to rest and explore at your leisure, or choose an add-on experience to see another side of Medellin.

We will fly to Cartagena in the morning then explore the Walled City and Getsemani in the afternoon. We will have tasty bites along the way as we learn the history of the city and its food.

It will be Friday in the beautiful city of Cartagena. You may choose from one of the add-on experiences or explore the city on your own.

We will spend our last night in Colombia having dinner on the Cartagena Bay.
